As a member of the Communications Team at the offices and labs of CZ Biohub SF in the sunny Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco, you will use your writing and social media skills to tell engaging stories of research by our talented in-house scientists and by CZ Biohub Investigators—distinguished faculty members at Stanford University, UC San Francisco, and UC Berkeley.

At CZ Biohub SF, you will be embedded in the research enterprise, with frequent opportunities to discover new stories by interacting with our scientists and research staff. See our News & Events page for recent examples of news releases and blog posts.

We seek curiosity-driven applicants with a collegial work style and a demonstrated interest in communicating basic and translational biological research. Join us to help identify and amplify the most newsworthy stories from the Biohub and from our Investigator Program.  Interns will:

• Identify and produce three or more stories on Biohub-supported science or scientists
• Help the CZ Biohub SF Communications Team run its social media accounts
• Help brainstorm and execute on ideas to grow CZ Biohub social media audiences and expand its reach
• Participate in team meetings

- Must be a current undergraduate student (enrolled full time at a college or university both Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 terms)
- Must be able to commit to the 10-week Summer Internship Program (May 30, 2023-August 4, 2023)
- Must be able to be onsite at the Biohub for the duration of the program
