We are currently filling several spots at Patch, including: 

PATCH LOCAL EDITOR 

Our staffers are tenacious, agile, productive reporters and sharp storytellers. They also are:

  • obsessed with telling readers what they need to know about their communities
  • enthusiastic and innovative
  • smart, accurate headline writers
  • adept practitioners of social media and SEO
  • always eager to learn something new

BREAKING NEWS EDITOR

This person monitors breaking news across the coverage territory. This real-time reporting role will offer something new every day. You'll own breaking news and use a slate of digital tools, such as Dataminr, Newswhip and CrowdTangle, to serve our growing audience. 


Other considerations for full-time roles:

  • salary $40K-55K, commensurate with talent and experience
