The House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure is seeking to fill two positions on the Investigations & Oversight (I&O) Democratic staff of the committee. Both positions, as an oversight counsel and congressional investigator, will be part of a small team that works for the full committee and investigates a wide range of issues falling within the committee’s jurisdiction.
We are seeking energetic, thoughtful, and well-organized individuals with outstanding written and oral communications skills. Must be a self-motivated, diligent, team player adept at conducting extensive research, quickly summarizing key issues and able to juggle multiple tasks. Candidates should be comfortable briefing Members of Congress, interviewing federal officials and writing substantive investigative reports. The ideal candidate is experienced at uncovering cases of waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement and is curious, driven and has a calm disposition under stressful conditions and timelines.
