ecoRI News, a nonprofit environmental news organization based in Rhode Island, is seeking a full-time staff reporter to join our dedicated team. Now entering its 10th year, ecoRI News covers environmental and climate justice issues in southern New England.
We give our reporters freedom to find and tell the stories that reflect the communities we serve. But we also demand a high level of responsibility. Applicants should be comfortable working independently, developing their beat, and balancing shorter stories with in-depth articles and investigative pieces.
Applicants must have some journalism experience; a background and interest in the environment and environmental justice issues; ability to film and produce short videos; social media skills; ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include Simple IRA with company match and flexible work schedule.
