The Annie E. Casey Foundation is dedicated to building a brighter future for all children, families and communities in the United States. The Casey Foundation not only aims to be a place that does great work — but also a great place to work.
At Casey, you will find a dynamic environment with staff of diverse backgrounds and perspectives who share a deep commitment to advancing the Foundation’s mission.
The Foundation is looking for an individual to contribute to its internal communications by developing and disseminating communications tools that deliver priority messages to internal audiences. As a senior communications associate, you will:
- manage relationships with the Foundation’s infrastructure units to meet their communications needs and act as a thought partner, coordinating with directors and staff through all stages of projects;
- lead the development and production of materials to support internal communications, including crisis communications;
- manage and create content for the Foundation’s intranet and internal electronic newsletter; and
- develop other necessary communications channels, including video production and PowerPoint presentations.
The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of professional communications or journalism experience that includes at least three years of project management responsibilities, experience developing communications products and tools and a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field. The individual must be familiar with The Associated Press Stylebook and be a quick thinker with demonstrated problem-solving and interpersonal skills, as well as expertise in areas including publications, online communications, public relations, public affairs and marketing. A strong commitment to, and appreciation for, racial and ethnic equity and inclusion is a must.
Casey is committed to helping staff learn and grow, enabling them to bring their best selves to work by offering a range of professional development opportunities, including tuition reimbursement, conferences and training to further develop their skills and expertise. The Foundation also provides a generous benefits package.
Please submit your resume and a cover letter describing how you fit the qualifications above — and why working for the Foundation as a senior communications associate interests you. The Foundation will not consider resumes submitted without a cover letter. Read full job description and apply online at www.aecf.org/about/jobs
