The Washington Times is seeking an experienced, energetic and ambitious Metro Reporter with a keen eye for stories and a flair for vivid, concise writing. A successful candidate will be able to generate exclusive stories, capturing investigated breaking news relating to local issues in the Metropolitan Washington DC area. The selected candidate must be a strong, fast writer who can quickly file stories to the website and then develop them to give the newspaper's readers additional insight. Occasional non-standard working hours are part of the job. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, huge drive to succeed, outstanding work ethic, character, integrity and professionalism, and be a team player.
