JournalismNext.com Testimonials

I'm sold on your site. I had received little response from recent postings on other minority job sites, and been frustrated in our efforts to attract well-qualified minority candidates. As an experiment, we decided to post a recent opening for a municipal reporter on only one minority site: JournalismNext.com. The response was terrific. After receiving dozens of resumes, we hired a bright, promising reporter with six years solid experience at a smaller daily. We are absolutely delighted to have found her.

Thank you for providing a genuine service both to journalists of color and to news organizations like ours who are working to have our newsrooms reflect our communities

Just wanted to let you know how helpful we have found JournalismNext.com. I recently searched your resumes and found a real gem -- a seasoned anchor/reporter with major market experience. We talked with her, flew
her out, and have now hired her. We never would have found her without JournalismNext.com. Keep up the good work.

I've received two job offers through JournalismNext.com this week and have been tipped off about several internships - and I posted my resume just weeks ago! Wow! I've posted my resume on some other popular resume-posting websites, and haven't heard a peep from anyone. I am going to tell everyone I haven't told yet I know about this wonderful and effective service. It is really a pleasure to use, well organized and simple. Thank you!

JournalismNext.com may be one of the new kids on the web, but it has already distinguished itself as one of the best journalism jobs web sites out there today. As a recruiter, I've found it to be an extremely valuable tool with a wealth of talented candidates of color and it's easy to use -- for both employers and job seekers.

I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for the invaluable assistance of JournalismNext.com. We found a tremendous reporting candidate on the site and, I'm pleased to say, have put him to work in one of our most challenging and competitive beats. The service you provide is a must-see for any newspaper that is serious about diversity.

I got a job through JournalismNext.com. I had been looking for a job forever, it seemed, when I chanced upon a job posting on this website. I applied, and within days, I started working as a news writer for one of the top radio stations in Los Angeles! Thank you, JournalismNext.com.

JournalismNext.com is an important new resource in recruiting. An increasing number of Gannett newspapers across the country, from community dailies to major metros, are taking advantage of the site to attract talent and diversity.

Within the first 24 hours that my resume was on JounalismNext.com, I was contacted by three newspapers to apply for various reporter openings. Talk about quick results! These were recruiters and editors I've never previously met on the job fair circuit, and they all mentioned JournalismNext as their source. They called or emailed me, I submitted clips, and within a week was flown out for an interview. Without the site, I don't think they would have considered reaching me.

My job search went very quickly thanks to JournalismNext.com. It's a 'live' site - not just a message board with job postings. I had two interviews in one month and several other inquiries over the past few months. I am very happy with the results. Many of my colleagues in my graduate program are still looking for jobs months after graduation and growing frustrated. I feel fortunate. It took very little time to land a great position. I am thrilled.

This is the best site ever. I have found so many great interns to work at my company, Hollywood Scriptwriter. They keep coming and coming. No other site, paid or otherwise, has worked like journalismnext.com. You guys are doing a great job getting the word out there. Keep up the good work.
