GRADUATE JOURNALISM FELLOWSHIPS

American University School of Communication (SOC) invites applications for fellowships in partnership with the Center for Public Integrity, Bureau of National Affairs, and USA Today. SOC is the only professional school in Washington, DC that brings journalism, film and public relations together, with an international perspective and a focus on new media -- digital, interactive, and social.

Fellowships are awarded to full-time journalism graduate students at SOC. Fellows receive a scholarship for a designated number of academic credits, a stipend, and the opportunity to pursue professional projects on a part-time basis with some of the country’s finest news organizations. Awards including:

- Center for Public Integrity (CPI)
- Bureau of National Affairs (BNA)
- USA TODAY

ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION

SOC offers an intensive, 33-credit graduate program in Journalism. Students select either the broadcast or print track and may specialize in public policy or international journalism or economic communication. For professionals who want to earn a degree without interrupting their careers, SOC offers an innovative weekend degree program in Interactive Journalism. This cohort style programs lead to a master’s degree in 20 months.
In the Film and Media Arts Division, SOC offers an M.A. in Film and Video, an M.F.A. in Film and Electronic Media as well as a weekend graduate program in Producing for Film and Video. SOC also offers masters degrees in Public Communication (full-time, part-time or weekend format) and interdisciplinary graduate degrees in International Media and Political Communication.
