Job Description:
Education Week, the respected, independent newspaper of record for K-12 education, is seeking an intellectually curious reporter to write news, news analysis, trend stories, blog entries, and features, and to contribute to special projects. This is a chance to report for a national audience of decisionmakers and administrators about a high-profile area of public policy. The successful candidate will be a versatile journalist able to produce incisive, explanatory journalism for the newspaper, file breaking news stories for our continually updated website, and keep readers abreast of a news beat through frequent blog postings. An ability to translate complex academic research for wider audiences is also a plus.
Qualifications include at least three years of reporting experience, ability to juggle multiple assignments, reliability at meeting deadlines, and experience working with both print and digital platforms.
